Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Currently waiting for the order of stainless steel tubes, delrin rods, and fitting to arrive.
Once the order arrive, the process of making the bushing will begin.
Fabricated and machined the top hinge with 2inches hole cut out at a 10 degrees angle
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Order of Delrin rod of 1.25", 1.5", 1.75", and 2" have been placed.
Purchase orders sent for the Stainless steel tubing from tube service and online metals.
Purchase orders sent for the fittings.
Load test on prototype legs with Delrin bushing.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.

Off the shelf threaded tube end would not work well to attach the swivel feet since it does not match the ID of our pipe size. Therefore, it is best to fabricate our own tube ends out of aluminum and machine the inner thread.
The tube end where it meets the top hinge plate will be secured by nuts and bolts with bushing.
It is recommended to use 3/8" thick aluminum for the shaker attachment plate for stronger stiffness and avoid any bending of the plate.

1/4 inch thread for the swivel feet is very strong and be sufficient in this design.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Machining for the delrin bushings, tube ends, and hinge plate with tight tolarence might be difficult but should be doable.
