Figure 5 | Tray and eating compartments of the Penguin 3.0 design with threaded housing for suction cup on back. Also incorporated is an easy-release slot located on the side of the shell on the tray to allow an adult-sized finger to reach through the tray and release the suction cup. Threaded design has replaced slotted twist design for lid seal.
Figure 6 | Lid feature and sealing method of the Penguin 3.0 design. Full threads allow for the interlock lid to be more versatile than the slotted interlock feature.
Face of penguin is kept on the lid feature for aesthetics.

Penguin 4.0:
Figure 7 | Tray and eating compartments of the Penguin 4.0 design, incorporated with the easy-release slot located on the side of the shell on the tray. Threaded design for the lid has been replaced with a snap-on design, and the face of the penguin was placed directly on the tray, allowing the lid to be a circular shape and much more intuitive and versatile. An extra housing was created for a second suction cup to test for a slotted suction cup design and its ability to provide a stronger suction force as well as prevent rotation of the plate while on the table.
Figure 8 | Assembled image of Penguin 4.0 design with lid feature. The existing interlocking lid has been replaced with a simple circular snap-on lid design.
This was done to increase usability for the user as well as offer a simpler, yet fully functional design alternative.

Penguin 5.0:
Figure 9 | Tray and eating compartments of the final Penguin 5.0 design. Threaded design was kept as the final method for housing the suction cup. The outer shell of the tray was removed, allowing for a more intuitive and simpler method for the user to release the tray via reaching in for the suction cup. The snap-on lid design was chosen for the final design due to its ability to provide a successful closing and sealing of the tray, whilst being a "universal" lid for additional design considerations using the modular circular eating area in the future.
