Most people think of Holland when they see pictures like this fields of tulips. However, did you know that every year, Washington’s Skagit Valley hosts almost a million visitors who come to see acres upon acres of brightly colored spring flowers during their world-famous tulip festival in April?
Jetty Island is one of many places near us where you can go to enjoy the nature of the ocean. A free ferry takes you to the island where you can wade in the warm water, play in the sand and see beautiful animals like this Harbor seal.
Wake up early and drive up to Heather Meadows and Artist Point. There are many wildflowers in the summer. You can play in the snow in September and enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Shukson and Mt. Baker.
You are floating above Snohomish in a hot air balloon on a beautiful fall evening. Your heart is already thumping with excitement, and it beats even more quickly when you hear the whoosh of the fire as it sends your balloon higher.
If you like the beach and beauty this is the perfect place for you! This is a fun and easy hike right by the water. You can bring your friends or a special someone to enjoy a perfect sunset. Rialto beach is in the Olympic National park. You can get there by car in a few hours. It is a fun car trip too.
The beautiful, meandering path next to the Skykomish River is a lovely place to enjoy the stunning colors of Autumn. The trail on Lowe Creek Road, near Index, is a short drive from EdCC and a perfect day trip. Stop studying for an afternoon and go enjoy the wonderful Fall colors!
Thank you to Katrina, Ruth, Dennis, Rhonda, Linda and Diana for helping with the photos and photo descriptions.
