2021-Fall
The Brain Mapping Workshop
Updated Dec 1, 2021
The BMW list has moved to the D2L resource site: "Neuroimaging Workshops".
If you would like to be added to the D2L resource site: "Neuroimaging Workshops", contact dkp @ email.arizona.edu
The "Neuroimaging Workshops" D2L site will:
Facilitate sharing materials that we'd like to keep within the community (e.g., datasets, protocols, downloaded articles),
Provide a central calendar of events,
Provide asynchronous self-paced lessons on relevant topics (Unix, HPC, Docker, Singularity, BIDS, GIFT, etc.).
Provide a Discussion List and a Jobs List (labs seeking personnel, students seeking labs)
Regular meetings may be replaced with periodic workshops based on people's needs and wants.
Fall 2021 Schedule
Meetings may be recorded if the presenter and others are comfortable with that choice. You can contact me (Dianne Patterson) at dkp @ email.arizona.edu. You will receive a message with a zoom link
Meetings will be on Thursdays from 2-3 on the first and third Thursdays of each month:

Webinar Overview
Statistical analyses can reveal important patterns in neuroscience data, but can also lead us into error. This webinar will give practical advice on issues that often come up during statistical reviews and will explain the most common pitfalls and how to avoid them. Topics will include testing the normality assumption, multiple comparison adjustment, covariate selection, p-value interpretation, as well as common errors in the reporting of statistical analyses. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in detailed discussions on the topics presented.
