Brookfield Central coaches

Coach David Steinbach (The inspiration for this club)

Coach Steinbach has built the Brookfield Central Tennis program into the deepest and most consistently successful program in the state. During his tenure, the Lancers have won 13 state titles, have been runner up 13 times and have won 40 sectional titles. His resume includes more than 1,000 wins, the only person to achieve that mark. Most impressive, however, is that Coach Steinbach instituted the no-cut program at Central, a program that has allowed thousands of players to compete for the Lancers. He will always remain the inspiration for the success and sportsmanship the Brookfield Central Lancers and Junior/Senior Lancers exhibit.

Coach Jon Vogt

Coach Vogt has been with the Brookfield Central tennis program since 2012 as a varsity assistant to Coach Steinbach on the boys and girls teams. He is currently the head girls and boys coach for both tennis programs at Brookfield Central. He was formerly the head girls tennis coach at Franklin High School from 2008-2012, and an assistant with the boys program in 2012. He led the Franklin program from a sixth place finisher in 2008 to undefeated conference champions in 2012. He is the founder of the Junior Lancers Tennis group and is very excited about growing this group over the years. Coach Vogt currently teaches social studies at Wisconsin Hills.

Coach Judy Carlson

Dr. Carlson offers not only experience as a successful tennis player, but she is also a doctor and a pilot. Dr. Carlson's personal tennis experience includes competing as a USTA Midwest Women's Finalist and has won the Senior Olympics tennis bronze medal in 2009. She brings a wealth of health and fitness knowledge to the group and shares with players how much of their success is not only tied to on the court work but also off the court nutrition and health. She volunteers for both the boys' and girls' programs at Brookfield Central and practices medicine at Moundview Specialty Clinic.
