Coach Ambrosius coached the Varsity Reserve team for the Brookfield Central girls from 2012 to 2015. In addition, he has helped coach a boys high school team in Florida for the past five years. His passion for improvement, communication and excitement for tennis was invaluable to moving players along to the varsity team and helping grow a passion for tennis within a team environment. His daughters, Wendy and Marissa played a total of seven seasons for Coach Steinbach, and between them won over 150 matches, went to seven team state tournaments, five individual state tournaments and played on two state championship teams at BCHS. Coach Ambrosius is also a certified USTA and ITA official. He was formerly the President of St. Luke's Medical Center and brings with a wealth of knowledge, innovate ideas and work ethic to the group.
President: Dave SteinbachCoach Steinbach has been the Brookfield Central boys and girls tennis coach for 37 years. He has accumulated 13 state titles, 13 second place finishes and numerous coach of the year awards. He lends his expertise to the group through his lifelong passion for tennis that has sent him all across Wisconsin with the Brookfield Central tennis team, across the United States with USTA zonal teams and to Africa as an American ambassador for the game of tennis. Currently he is the only coach in the history of Wisconsin to amass more than 1,000 coaching victories.
has been with the Brookfield Central tennis program since 2012 as a varsity assistant to Coach Steinbach on the boys and girls teams. He was formerly the head girls tennis coach at Franklin High School from 2008-2012, and an assistant with the boys program in 2012. He led the Franklin program from a sixth place finisher in 2008 to undefeated conference champions in 2012. He is the founder of the Junior Lancers Tennis group and is very excited about growing this group over the years. Coach Vogt currently teaches social studies at Wisconsin Hills.
