We will use this to help guide their problem solving skills, math and science curriculums are expanded upon and introduced to students in new fun ways in engineering based hands on projects.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
I have been here in East Greenbush since the 2000 school year. We take great pride in instructing students in hands-on technology activities. These activities are used to supplement the math and science curriculums here at Howard L Goff Middle School. We in the Technology Department plan, prepare, and facilitate project-based learning activities. Students often work in groups to solve authentic, challenging and often interdisciplinary problems.
We use our life experiences to enhance student learning. An effective educator can combine these experiences to show how education is relevant in their students' lives.
I spent a summer working at G.E. Global Research Center in the Phosphor Laboratory for SABIC Innovative Plastics where we researched and implemented application methods as well as developed and completed two application viewing areas. I have 8 years experience working as a graphic artist for Spectragraphics Inc. located in Commack NY and spent most of those years in their Boston MA division. Previous to this I was an automotive technician and held a NY state inspectors license and ASE certifications in brakes and electrical systems.
The technology department has an extensive background from a large variety of experiences. None of those experiences can compare to the experience of making a meaningful connection with our students.
