Jeffrey is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently a third year student at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
Here are his responses to some questions:
What have you studied in science or are currently studying?
So far, most of the science I've studied has been inside a classroom. In high school, I took chemistry, biology and physics classes. These helped me develop background knowledge about these topics. At Rice University in Houston, I've taken some advanced Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physics courses. These go into greater depth than the courses I took in high school, and often incorporate fine detail about the topics covered in lecture.
Do you have any ideas on what a middle school student could do in Science right now?
The most important thing as a middle school student is to be curious. Question everything you see and keep looking for answers to those questions. No question at all is too basic or illogical to ignore. That curiosity will help a lot later on in life when you are surrounded by professors who have the knowledge and resources to help you discover on your own.
