Need to Know Information
Below are helpful resources to assist students with preparing for ACT and SAT related assessments.
Students should register for an account with ACT or College Board. Once an account has been created, students will have access to FREE materials provided by these entities. Students should visit www.collegeboard.org or www.ACT.org to sign up for a FREE account!
Students and parents should create a file with all score reports. This will be valuable since school officials may not be able to access these later. It is important for students to be able to provide this documentation to colleges and universities upon request. Having a folder with all necessary documents, will expedite the process for enrollment, credit, etc. as some institutions may require.
Students should start preparing well in advance of the assessment.
Did you know that some exams are given to students FREE of charge and during the instructional day? All 10th grade students will take the PreACT in the fall of each school year. All 11th grade students will take The ACT in February. Currently, all 11th grade students are able to take the PSAT in October. Students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) College Board governed, courses also take their exams FREE of charge.
