Education in the Irish Prison System

This project is a research study undertaken by PhD researcher Catherine Byrne looking at education levels and assessment, in particular numeracy and literacy levels, in Irish Prisons.

Furthermore, it is a phenomenological study of both prisoners and staff in prison education and the impact that it has on the participants' lives in terms of further education and desistance.
