HRHS uses Naviance to support students with the college application process
There are a few different ways to apply to colleges. The two most common ways that HRHS students apply to college are:
Directly to a college by using their school-specific application - usually found on the colleges website
Using an online service to apply to multiple colleges (i.e. Common App, Coalition, etc.)
Updated explanations and "How-to Guides" for using Common App can be found here: commonapp.org/ready
HRHS students using Common App are required to:
1st - sign the FERPA waiver (complete this step in your Common App account 1st)
2nd - match your Naviance account to your Common App account (complete this step in your Naviance after you sign the FERPA waiver)
Students must request letters of recommendation through Naviance
Do not request letters of recommendation through Common App
Students MUST add all of their college applications to their "Colleges I'm applying to" list in Naviance in order to submit official documents like transcripts and letters of rec correctly
Please indicate if you're applying directly to the college (using their specific institution application) OR if you're applying using Common App - this is extremely important to ensure your official documents are submitted correctly
HRHS does NOT report test scores for students
Per Colorado law students are required to submit their test scores to colleges directly from the testing agency
