Hi! My name is Ms. Kim. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Littleton. I currently live in Highlands Ranch with my three children; Taylor 19, Kylie 17 and Alec 15.
I was first introduced to sign language by deaf students/friends that attended my elementary school. I was fascinated with the language and wanted to be able to communicate with my new deaf friends, so I was determined to learn their language. When I was a senior in high school, I decided that I wanted to become a sign language interpreter. Upon graduation, I attended college and received my degree in the Interpreting Training Program. I was hired on by the college when I graduated and I am now going on my 31st year of interpreting. I have been blessed to work with so many wonderful people in so many different settings. I have had the opportunity to work for; K-12, universities, mental health, prisons, medical and dental appointments, conferences, parole and probation offices. I even had the chance to interpret for a US Senator and two of our United States Presidents.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my three children. They have kept me active through the years with skiing, snowboarding, lacrosse, football, cheerleading, gymnastics, dance, theatre and two years as a rodeo princess. I look forward to the next chapter in our lives!
I feel honored to work with such amazing students, teachers and staff at Arrowwood Elementary. It is honestly a joy for me to come to work everyday!
