Enrollment

1. You can't get in the system unless you are enrolled.

• • DCHS, DCECHS, and CDA freshmen will be enrolled automatically.

  • Middle school students who are at least 14 1/2 will be invited starting in Class 2.

  • Upperclassmen who want to take driver education will need to fill out enrollment forms on the homepage of this driver ed website. They will be invited to the appropriate class based on their date of birth.

  • If a student has attended parent night and paid the fee, but was not successful in the course, they do NOT fill out an enrollment form to try again. Contact the coordinator.

  • Non-Davie School System students must fill out the enrollment form (Google form link) on the home page of this website and will be assigned to a class based on their date of birth. We can only offer driver education to students who attend school in Davie County.

  • Students will receive a packet at school a week or two before their class starts (parent night). Parents and students also receive an email.

2. The classroom portion begins with a parent night. At parent night you will be given Canvas information, get your eyes examined by DMV personnel and pay the $65 fee. Parent night is mandatory.

3. The 30-hour classroom component is administered online through Canvas. On-line Classes are organized based on all eligible students with older students scheduled first. You do NOT need to contact us. We will contact you.

4. The 100-question final exam will be administered remotely. The time will be posted on Canvas.
