EFL Kids Cup
On Monday, a group of boys from Years 5 and 6 took part in the EFL Kids Cup at Imperial Sports Ground. They did a great job, with 3 draws and 1 defeat, but unfortunately that wasn’t quite enough to progress into the quarter finals.
Considering it was the first time the boys have played together, they can feel proud of their achievements.
Reggie made some brilliant saves in goal, the defence was as solid as a rock, and Tyron’s energy and attacking flare caused chaos to defenders

Feast of Christ the King
This week we visited Church of Christ the King for a special Feast of Christ the King Mass.
The Feast of Christ the King is a Catholic celebration that takes place on the last Sunday of the liturgical year in the Catholic faith.
It is a way to recognise Jesus Christ as the 'King of Kings' and honour him as Lord over all creation.
The Wednesday Word
The Wednesday Word is a special publication created to connect home, school and parish.
Every Wednesday a ‘word’, inspired by the coming Sunday’s Gospel, will be suggested for families to talk about in the home. The Wednesday Word is structured around the Sunday Gospel, because evidence shows that Gospel values really do help family relationships to thrive.
Ten:Ten Faith Newsletter - November
The Ten:Ten monthly parent newsletter gives you an overview of the content children will experience in school throughout the month and suggestions of ways for you to engage with them about it at home.
The children have started practicing their nativity with the Reception class this week.
Three times they have walked to the hall and rehearsed. In truth, they have blown everyone away by how well they sat, followed instructions and sang the songs.
We are so proud of all your children and how well they are doing. At home, please keep rehearsing or listening to the nativity songs to support your child's learning of the song. Some songs have actions which your child may want to share with you too.
In between rehearsals, they have been exploring our new home area, which now features a door, shop window, big mirror and moveable clock face. They have been dressing as doctors, superheroes, teachers and playing families. They have all been playing beautifully and using the helpful phrases before coming to speak with a teacher when something happens. Their independence in developing wonderfully.
The children have been developing amazingly so far this year and have been very inquisitive about everything they encounter, see, do and hear. They are all very curious little people with lots to learn share and explore.
We hope you have a restful weekend,
Miss Dale and the Nursery Team
Attendance Champions
Unfortunately, none of our classes have managed over 99% attendance this week - lets try again next week!
A reminder to Year 2 who won the attendance award last week - your non uniform day will take place on Friday 5th December.
Remember, all classes have the opportunity to earn themselves a non-uniform day - all they need to do is be in school on time, every day!
Absences for Illness
As is usual for this time of year, with the cold weather comes germs and we understand that sometimes children are too ill to attend school.
However we recommend looking at the following guidance if you are unsure about whether your child is well enough to come in: Should I keep my child off school?
Please be reminded that school always has a stock of Calpol, and can administer medication to pupils should they feel a little under the weather. Minor colds and coughs are normal childhood illnesses and should not be reasons to keep children away from school.
Please also be reminded that whilst children are welcome at school with minor illnesses, we cannot have them in school if they have suffered sickness or diarrhoea. Children should stay off of school and not return until there has been 48 hours since the last episode of illness.
There may be circumstances that we ask for medical evidence in order for us to authorise your child's absence - this may happen if the absence is for an extended period of time, or if there is a pattern of repeated illness, or if their attendance is below 92% due to other absences. If medical evidence is not provided, this may be recorded as an unauthorised absence which may result in a penalty notice (fine)
