U.S Elections
Students learned about the U.S laws and procedures. They compared the Brazilian system to the American one and discussed advantages and disadvantages of each one. At the end of the class they elected their class representative.
Halloween
Students played a game to check how many "scary" words they knew and then they had a spooky snack to celebrate Halloween.
Reading Corner Project - Volunteer Work
Students created ads about "The Reading Corner Project", which will be carried out during the second semester of 2016.

Rafael Duarte delivered a lecture on "Higher Education and International Interchage" to EAP students. He gave them tips on studying abroad and what can be done if they are interested in getting scholarships.
Biographies (Democracy/ Gender / US History/Civil Society)
Students chose influential figures in American History and wrote biographies in the form of comic books.
Saint Patrick's Day
Students saw a PowerPoint presentation about Saint Patrick and then they went on a treasure hunt using iPads.
Tiny Houses
Students were asked to create Tiny Houses and discuss the importance of the movement that wishes to create an affordable housing revolution.
The real message behind the tiny house movement and simple living is being more conscious about how we live. This includes the purchasing and consumption decisions that we make but it also includes even deeper things like making goals for our lives and getting rid of the necessary ‘baggage’ to get what we want.
