Jackie Meisel presented her work on the GEMS childhood diarrhea study at the conference. Jackie, Dan Nasko, and Nidhi Shah, with help from Brian Brubach, Brook Stacy, and Seth Commichaux, taught a day-long hands-on workshop on taxonomic annotation to a group of 40 scientists from local universities and federal institutions.
