Google Classroom Best Practices

1. Google Classroom is a File/Learning Management System for sharing assignments and documents with students and monitor student participation
2. Create a classroom and use a naming convention that will help students identify your class, such as include teacher name, content area, school year, or semester
3. Students will join classes using the Class Code -  code can be displayed right in Google Classroom
4. Utilize "Topics" in Classwork to  organize your assignments, etc.
5. Create a topic (e.g.,  Class Resources and Materials) for often used links and documents (e.g., syllabus), meeting links and keep it at the top of classwork
6. Name assignments so they are easily found by students (e.g, number, date, quarter)
