Blended Learning Models
Blended learning can be implemented in many unique ways, generally using a combination of one or more of the following models.
Station Rotation
Students rotate through stations on a fixed schedule. At least one station is an online learning station.
Lab Rotation
Students rotate to a computer lab for the online-learning station
Flipped Learning
Pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space. The group space is transformed into a dynamic, interactive learning environment.
Individual Rotation
Students rotate through stations on individual schedules set by the teacher or software algorithm
Flex Model
Students move on an individually customized, fluid schedule among learning modalities. The teacher of record is on-site, and students learn mostly on the brick-and-mortar campus, except for any homework assignments.
A la Carte Model
Students take an online course with an online teacher of record, along with other face-to-face courses. Provides students with more flexibility over their schedules.
