FisioApp, Tele-Rehabilitation System using Smartphones
FisioApp is a software system composed by two applications. The first one, it is a PHP based Web page where therapy specialist can observe the evolution of therapy exercises performed by patients. And, the second one, it is an Android based application which uses built-in inertial sensors to help patients in the therapy exercises development.
At the very beginning, therapy specialist teach to patients how to perform the exercises; afterwards, patients perform the session exercises at home, where the app is able to feedback how well an exercise is done; finally, data is uploaded to the web server in order to be checked by the therapy specialist. Actually, FisioApp is a registered software legally recognized by the Interior Ministry of Colombia. This document can be downloaded here.
FisioApp system is composed by two applications, one of them deals with patient therapy directly, and it can be installed in a mobile device. In this application, users can perform the following tasks:Login using a username and password
Selecting different therapies.
Observing different parameters of each therapy such as: number of repetitions, number of sessions, date at which the therapy began, and finishes.
Users can modify some therapy parameters, such as speed and amplitude of the exercises.
FisioApp shows how the mobile device must attach to the patients body.
Performing the therapy including all sessions, and repetitions configured.
Once the therapy has finished, users can are able to do the following:Include observations to the specialists.
Re-start all the therapy, or session.
Save locally all information data.
Display different plots showing how the sessions, and repetitions were performed by patients.
Send all data to the web server in order to be analyzed by the specialist.
The second application of FisioApp is a Web interface where specialist can observe the patient evolution over therapies. Here, the specialist can do the following tasks:Login into the system using a username and password.
Selecting a patient of interest.
Observing the basic data of patient, as well as, the therapy information.
Observing the evolution plots of the therapy sessions, and repetitions.
Introduce comments to his/her patient.
