The learning process for Constellation coaches is a learning cycle that has at its centre a learning event of the Constellation. In this case, the coach may see the 'learning event' in a very broad way.
The basis of the Learning is the ‘Knowledge Asset for coaches’ which is made up of lessons learned from interviews with coaches that are organised around CLCP.
This page leads to the interviews with coaches and the Knowledge Assets for coaches.
We can take the ‘Before Experience Reflection’ as the notional point of the learning cycle. The Before Experience Reflection is an opportunity for the coaching team to come together and reflect on the possibilities for learning that the forthcoming event provides. This might take place on location before the event if time permits, or it might be a virtual meeting if time does not permit. One part of the agenda would be to use the Knowledge Asset to bring coaches up-to-date with the experiences of coaches since their last engagement with the Constellation. Another part would be to explore opportunities for group learning that individual coaches might want to suggest to the coaching team.
The After Experience Reflection would take place after the event on a one-on-one basis. This would be a dialogue of reflection that would look to surface the lessons learned by the coach during the event. The documentation would be in a form that would allow the update of the Knowledge Asset.
At some stage, the Knowledge Asset should be reviewed by the Coaching Community. The challenge would be to develop a shared understanding of what had been learned by the coaching community during the course of a year.
