Assignment:

My watch was a gift from my wife to me on my 25th birthday. In August 2005, it was left in our house in New Orleans (along with everything else) when Hurricane Katrina struck. Six weeks later, we returned to survey the damage and salvage what we could. I found the watch in three inches of muck and sewage in our spare bedroom, after it had sat in flood waters (which had been pumped away by that time) for a month. It was still ticking with the correct time. Like Butch in Pulp Fiction, I'm never getting rid of this watch.
