The Buchanan High School Vocational Math program is designed to teach real-life math skills and applications. In this class, you will be taught skills that lead to a variety of opportunities to successfully use math in the real world. This math class is designed with modified curriculum which scaffolds Common Core High School Standards to the students' functioning levels. Students will be given opportunities to use their math skills in real-life applications to practice daily living skills and prepare for future employment.

GOALS and support materials:
Students will be assigned skill building math assignments on IReady or IXL, if they are up to date in all their core class assignments. After the completion of the Diagnostic test, the intervention programs will creates specific lessons for students based on their current performance levels.
Students are given "Skill Building" assignments to work on throughout the week. The goal for skill building tasks are either to:
Support an area of weakness
support the IEP goals
challenge work for students quickly advancing through the class lesson/skill
consistency and reinforcement of a skill
