Strength training is an elective course here at CL high school that is open for males and females in grades 10-12. This course is a semester long course that focuses on developing and maintaining a healthy body through multiple strength exercises and cardio based activities. Students will learn about the multiple major muscle groups in the human body and how to properly train those muscle groups. Safety procedures and etiquette of the weight room are also studied in detail to ensure a safe environment for all students. Students are also required to create their own personalized eight-week strength training plan to be carried out in the weight room for the remainder of the semester. This course can be taken multiple times through their high school careers.
