SYLLABUS
This course offers students an opportunity to develop concepts and techniques in a collaborative and individual based studio setting with a two-dimensional focus. Students will further explore ideas with greater depth allowing for more growth and independence. Students will develop ideas in sketches, research artists, and write reflections in an ongoing visual sketchbook or through Google Classroom. Students will create a portfolio presentation (large project) for a final exam grade and should exhibit the students best understanding on the work learned during the time frame designated. The course is designed to meet the needs of students interested in an advanced study of visual art at the high school level and beyond. Recommended next course: Honors Art.
*critiques will be held every 4 weeks, requirements for each critique will be explained*
FINAL 20% of final grade
Student Website (digital portfolio) which includes an artist statement and all work from the 2019-20 school year.
