Use this form to request help communicating with students' families, or to submit a document to be translated.

Note: Translation websites (such as Google Translate) are only useful for translating words or phrases. Website-produced translations of entire documents tend to be confusing at best, incomprehensible at worst. This is because so many words have multiple meanings, and a website cannot understand context. To get an accurate translation of a document, it needs to be done by a person.

Information about the district's Interpretation Services.

Translation app for short messages

TalkingPoints is approved by the school district for communication with parents who don't speak English. This app translates text messages between you and parents. It operates from a website, no need to use your phone.

Interpretation for group meetings

The district has equipment for interpreters to use when multiple people need to hear, such as during meetings and presentations. It’s non-intrusive; the interpreter speaks into a transmitter and parents listen through earpieces. We strongly encourage using the interpretation equipment during any event that includes non-English-speaking parents. It’s the best way to enable them to participate and be involved in their children’s education.

To sign up for interpretation equipment, call the CHCCS International Welcome Center at 919-967-8211 ext. 28251.
