TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

The TOEFL iBT Test is an English proficiency exam created and administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS), the same company that does the SAT and AP exams. It assesses proficiency in reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Many 4-year colleges and universities suggest TOEFL scores, in addition to SAT or ACT scores, for applicants whose first language is not English.
