Welcome to First Grade!

I am very excited to have your child in my class this year! I look forward to watching your child grow and learn in reading, writing, math, and much, much more.

I am beginning my twenty-first year of teaching. I started my career teaching reading to first - fifth graders in CFISD. I then moved to Kindergarten which I taught for fourteen years and I have taught First grade for the last 5. I helped open Pope and have been so happy to be apart of this community. I love teaching the primary grades because I get to help students establish a firm foundation and a love of education.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband and daughter, Lucy (age 11). Lucy attends Smith Middle School and is in the sixth grade. I also have two fur babies, Bentley and Zoey.

As a parent, I know how important it is for you to know that your child is in the very best environment they can be in. Rest assured that I strive to provide an enriching classroom that is full of love.

I know that we will have a great year together!
