What is the FAFSA?

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is prepared annually by current and prospective college students (undergraduate and graduate) in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. 

Beginning October 1, you will be able to file the FAFSA using your most recent tax return without updating later (some exceptions apply). When it comes to financial aid, the early bird does get more, so do not delay!

What is the CSS Profile?

The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (College Scholarship Service Profile), is an application distributed by the College Board allowing college students to apply for financial aid.  This is a much more detailed application required by certain private colleges and universities. Colleges and universities who require this application say it guides them to a better determination of financial need and corresponding aid.
