College Application Process

College Application Process

Letters of Recommendation:  Students should seek ONE letter of recommendation from a core academic teacher (math, English, science, social studies, language), and the counselor will provide a letter upon request. These two letters will fulfill the requirements of the vast majority of colleges and universities. Please confirm all requirements with individual colleges (website, or calling the admissions office).  Some teachers may require a resume; template provided below.

Virtual Senior Parents' College Application Overview - Monday, September 13, 7-8:30 p.m.

Electronic Submission:  The department submits applications materials electronically via the eDocs feature of the Naviance program.  Details are found in the "College Applications Instructions" attachment.  In order for documents to be submitted, students must "match" their Naviance account with their CommonApp account.  Until these two programs are electronically linked, they cannot communicate and no documents can be submitted.  All seniors must create a CommonApp account and match with their Naviance account as a first step.  See helpful links below.
