Weekly Anatomy Homework and Reminders

Week of December 10th-14th

  • Monday-Wednesday- students have the first 3 days of this week to finish up quizzes and tests for the self study skeletal unit. All assessments need to be completed by the end of the class period on Wednesday.
  • On Thursday, we will be reviewing for the 1st semester exam as a class.
  • Friday- exams begin



Week of November 26-30

  • For next next 3 weeks, students will be working on an independent study of Part 1 of the skeletal system unit. They have been given a note packet covering a power point that can also be found on my website. They can go through this unit at their own pace and take quizzes and tests when they feel prepared. There are 2 in class quizzes, a take home quiz and a unit test. All of these assessments need to be completed by Wednesday, December 12th.
  • Students will also be presenting their Anatomy vs. Physiology models that they built over the next couple of weeks in class.
  • Experimental designs for the year long project will be due on Monday, December 10th.



Week of November 5th-9th

  • Monday- students will get an introduction to the cardiovascular system by beginning a note packet that we will be going over throughout the week
  • Tuesday- Students will have the class period to work on a cardiovascular homework packet
  • Wednesday-Thursday- we will continue with the notes from Monday to prepare for our quiz on Friday
  • Friday- CV Quiz 1
  • We will finish our skin disease presentations each day throughout the week.


Week of October 15th-18th

  • Monday- Students will hand in their lab reports
  • Monday-Wednesday- we will be going over the accessory structures of the skin as a class, following the PPT- this will include hair, nails and sebaceous glands
  • Wednesday- students will turn in and begin presenting their skin disease projects
  • Thursday- accessory structures quiz


Week of October 8th-12th

  • Monday-students will be working on their tissues re-test. Those not re-testing will be working on project lab reports. Once tests are complete, we will be going over the rubric for the lab report.
  • Tuesday-Thursday- we will be going over, in class, the notes over the layers of the epidermis and dermis. This includes layers of cells within the epidermis, growth and repair and structures within the dermis.
  • Students will be receiving information on the skin model project
  • Friday- skin quiz 2


Week of October 1st-5th

  • Monday- students will have time to finish their tests from last Friday. Those who have not started it will take it today. With any time remaining, students will work on project lab reports.
  • Tuesday- students will have the entire period to work on their year long projects, and write their lab reports. First quarter lab reports are due on Monday, October 15th. Students will also get the beginning of the integumentary system notes
  • Wednesday-Thursday- we will be reading through the beginning section of the Integumentary system. Students will also be receiving information on a skin model project and will begin working on it during these days
  • Friday- skin quiz 1


Week of September 24th-28th

  • On Monday, students had an opportunity to work on their year long projects as well as their tissues review sheet on Google Classroom
  • Tuesday-Wednesday, we will be going over the rest of the tissues unit with connective tissues and tissue repair
  • On Thursday, we will be reviewing for the test- we will be using the tissues review sheet to help us review
  • Friday- tissues test



Week of September 18th-21st

  • This week will be dedicated on getting everyone caught up with all work after a very hectic week last week.
  • On Tuesday, we will finish our project presentations over "Why is the body so weird?" Students will also have a chance to finish their current event assignment and their quiz from last Friday.
  • Also on Tuesday, students will be given 2 new assignments: 1 will be a Google Classroom over the tissues unit, 2 will be a new project developing a model of a functioning body part.
  • Wednesday-Thursday will be divided up between group time, year long project time and tissues assignment work time. We will be going over the tissues worksheet as a class.
  • On Friday, we will have a quiz over muscle and connective tissue.



Week of September 4th-7th

  • On Tuesday, students will be completing a Google Classroom assignment over the beginning of our histology unit. This sheet will contain all of the information that is on the quiz on Friday. We will be going through it as a class on Wednesday and Thursday
  • Students will finish giving presentations throughout the week for the project "Why is the body so weird?"
  • We will have our first Histology quiz on Friday
  • On Friday, students will be filling out a "Project Proposal" sheet for their year long project


Week of August 27th-31st

  • Monday-Wednesday, students will be working as a class to research and complete a guided notesheet that is posted on Google Classroom. We will be going over this in class.
  • Students will be giving presentations throughout the week on their "Why is the body so weird?" project
  • On Thursday, we will finish going over the material for the first unit and review for the test.
  • Friday- Into to Anatomy Test


Week of August 20th-24th

  • On Monday, the students who missed class last Friday will take their intro packet quiz. The re-take opportunity will be on Tuesday
  • We will be completing a lab over somatotype on Tuesday
  • The "Why is the body so Weird?" assignment will be due on Monday, the 27th
  • We will have our second Intro unit quiz on Friday


Week of August 15th-17th

  • Students were given rules sheets and student information sheets on Wednesday. These need to be filled out and returned by next Wednesday, August 22nd
  • Students will be working on a body regions activity poster on Thursday
  • The assignment "Why is the body so Weird?" will be handed out on Thursday. This project will be due next week
  • We will have our first quiz of the school year on Friday over the intro packet that was passed out on Wednesday
