Creekside is my home away from home. I have been teaching at Creekside since 2007. Most of my years at Creekside have been in kindergarten and a few years in first grade. I love Creekside for it's diversity, our amazing staff and parent community, and most of all, our kindergarteners who never fail to amaze me. I moved to Boulder from Longmont 4 years ago and now live in Martin Park - it is so wonderful living in the neighborhood where I teach! I have 2 adult children, Gabe and Savana and 3 elderly cats. When I'm not teaching, I love to hike in our South Boulder backyard, ride my bike, build puzzles, soak in hot springs, bake anything and everything and anything sourdough, and spend time with my amazing husband in our garden (at least in the summer!) Hi Kindergarten Families! I am Ms. Sydney, a fourth-year student at CU, Boulder studying elementary education. I am a second-generation CU student and originally from Parker, CO. I am so happy to be a part of your student's kindergarten year! I was a practicum student at Thomson Elementary School last year in 1st grade, so I am looking forward to getting to be in kindergarten alongside Stefani and Ellen this year! When I am not in the classroom, I love being outdoors, spending time with my friends and family, and my 8lb mini dachshund, Charlie, is my whole world. I am a nanny in the afternoons for another family at Creekside, as well as the manager of the children's center at Crunch Fitness. From now until December, I am in the classroom with your kiddos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, then, starting in January, I will be in the classroom Monday-Thursday.
