The ‘Coloring Your Future’ Scholarship is a scholarship introduced by the Visual Arts Dept. in 2010. Funding was generated for this scholarship through a joint effort between a local published author, Nancy Northrop and a Patton High student illustrator, Joey Martin who graduated in 2016.
The award Amount will be One Time $250
This scholarship is meant to support a student that has put forth serious effort in developing their visual art talents and skills as the first step in pursuing a career in the Visual Arts field. This is meant for any art student, regardless of their skill level.
Student applicants had to answer the following questions:
1. What is your goal when pursuing a secondary Visual Arts Degree?
2. Why do you feel you deserve this scholarship?
3. Submit a copy of their five best pieces of 2D or 3D art in any medium.
The Eligibility Requirements are as follows:
Current high school senior at R.L. Patton High School.
Must have taken at least two Visual art classes at Patton.
Total GPA as of the end of junior year at least a weighted 3.0.
Must be pursuing a degree in a Visual Arts Field.
Deadline to receive applications are May 31st at 3pm. Submit applications to Mrs. Bias rm 313.
ACT MasteryPrep $500 Scholarship Incentive
Students who complete all ACT MasteryPrep Online modules by June 30th, 2019 will be entered to win a $500 scholarship. Two lucky winners will be drawn! The Patton and Freedom Anchor/Key clubs raised over $900 and 959 pounds of food for the BUCM last night. The REAL winners of this event are the families and individuals impacted by the generosity and kindness of our community. So thank you!!!
