It's time to start thinking about 'Jingle 2025'. As you are now Year 4's, you have the opportunity to be a stage singer for 'Here Comes Santa Claus'. This song is sung right at the end of 'Jingle' as we welcome in Santa. Learn the words and the tune and then, if you are interested in being a stage singer, I will work with you so you know exactly what to do on Jingle Night. The music track goes on for a long time - we will only sing 'Here Comes Santa Claus' 4 times...one time for the singers from each class to sing it once through.
Here are the words for 'Here Comes Santa Claus' and below that is the music track
'Kiwi'
Here is the music you will need to learn for 'Kiwi' which is our assembly performance song for Week 5. Remember you play this recorder part for the singing chorus which starts 'kiwi, kakapo and weka...'
Here is the music for the boomwhackers, xylophones and chime bars - you will play two notes together
Now here's what it looks like when you put it all together with the chorus and the three verses. Remember that there will be two choruses which are instrumental only - that means no singing.
Here's a list of who is playing what in each of our Year 4 rooms...
and finally...here's the music track for you to practise with...
Here are the lyrics to this beautiful song. It was written by a teacher in New Zealand, who realised that there were not enough songs celebrating our beautiful native birds.
Here is our waiata 'E tu Kahikitea' which celebrates the mighty Kahikitea tree.
