June 2013 - Women of '62 Reunion

The stormy weather had mostly cleared in time for the first ever 51st reunion of the women of ’62 in Delray Beach, June 7 to 10. Howard and Helene Schwartz Kenvin welcomed our classmates to a wonderful buffet dinner at their home Friday night. During the next two days, there were strolls to the beach and dips in the hotel pool and Martha Reeves amused us with her comic monologues, but mostly we dined and talked. We agreed that sharing hours of intimate conversation, sometimes with classmates we knew only casually when our lives intersected some 55 years ago, was a remarkable experience: unexpectedly pleasurable, restorative, and rewarding. The weekend was such a huge success that we already have started planning a 52nd reunion in 2014. We’ll keep you posted.
