I'll give you what's possibly the first note about myself ever. No, I probably did tell you when I married Bill Walton, 39 years ago. I've retired from a checkered career as English teacher, speech-language pathologist, and cued language transiterator for deaf kids and am now enjoying volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care. My husband and I still live in Hampton, Virginia; our three kids and five grandchildren live in Boston, Toronto, and Windhoek, Namibia. This summer I joined Helen Garretson, '62, in driving to the wilds of Maine to visit Marti Thompson George, '62, at the "sporting camps" she and her husband run near Baxter State Park. We missed the formal 45th reunion but thoroughly enjoyed our small one. (Sept. 2007)
Posy also added this information about classmate Lillian Robinson:
A note from her cousin yesterday alerted me that September 21, 2007, was the one-year anniversary of Lillian's death. I had read her brief obituary in the BAM in May and tracked down a nephew, Greg Robinson, who directed me to a memorial website, http://lillianrobinson.wordpress.com/, and to a remembrance he had written for the Minnesota Review, http://www.theminnesotareview.org/journal/
ns67/remembering_lillian_robinson.shtml.
Maybe our classmates would be interested to learn where Lil's life took her.

We've been living in Madison (WI) for 42 years. Luckily, global warming is making winter more tolerable. I recently went back to graduate school for another degree, graduating in December, the oldest student in my class. Richard is emeritus at the UW Law School but still teaching and writing. Our four married children live pretty busy lives: Mary Sarah is a professor at Boston College Law School, Anne is an attorney for the UW College System, Daniel is a professor at UC-Berkeley, and Debbie is a public radio producer in Philadelphia. We have ten grandchildren. April (2007)

Arthur is retired. We still live in Wynnewood, PA. I finished my term on the library board of trustees. (My special assignment was soliciting art exhibits and hanging them ABOVE the head-high bookshelves.) Matt is a lawyer in New York City and Meryl is (we hope) finishing up a fine arts degree at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. (May 2007)
Susan Fiske Michelson (“Cammy”)
“Still love retirement after seven years. Enjoy doing photography, poetry, and playing competition bridge. Just resigned from four years as president of the scientific council of an association to help people with inflammatory eye disease. (Feb. 2007)

Susan and I have moved to downtown Minneapolis, leaving the joys and problems of a private home behind. I continue to practice General Surgery, now in a single specialty group of eight, which allows me to keep my own pace. Our son Ernest (B '97) is an electrical engineer in San Jose, CA. (Feb. 2007)

In 1999, I retired as executive director of the Alabama School of Fine Arts Foundation. Since then I have been transitioning off Boards and now serve only on the boards of the Alabama Symphony, public radio, and a statewide children’s advocacy group. I travel a lot. (March 2007)
