Middle School Update
MONDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2016
Wishing you all a happy holiday season from Windsor Terrace Middle School!
Lottery and Waitlist Applications for the 2017-18 School Year are now available!
Sibling families are given priority for entry into all Brooklyn Prospect schools. Families interested in applying sibling(s) of current Brooklyn Prospect students may access our application online at www.brooklynprospect.org/admissions.
If you know any families that are interested in joining Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, please advise them to apply on our website or attend an upcoming information session. Visit our website for information session details.
Progress Reports and Report Cards
Progress reports went home as part of conferences. If you did not receive your child’s progress report, please contact wtmscoordinator@brooklynprospect.org. These progress reports represent a “snapshot” of student performance mid-semester. At the end of each semester, an official report card is mailed to parents outlining your student’s official academic grades. Report cards are mailed out in early February for first semester and a few days after the last day of school for second semester. Mid-semester progress reports will be available for second semester at the March conferences.
Principal’s List and Honor Roll
Students who have maintained an average of 90% of higher in their effort grades will be recognized this week and next at grade level circles as having made the Principal’s List. When grades are finalized at the end of the semester, honors will be awarded to students meeting the criteria below. The goal of the middle school Principal’s List and Honor Roll is to publicly recognize and reward students who display outstanding effort and academic achievement in a given grading period.
Students who maintain an average of 90% or higher in the effort category of their overall grade will be recognized on the Principal’s List.
Students who have fulfilled the requirements for Principal's List AND who maintain an overall grade of 90% or higher will be recognized on the Principal’s List with Honors (at the semester).
Students who have fulfilled the requirements for Principal's List AND who maintain an overall grade of 95% or higher will be recognized on the Principal’s List with High Honors (at the semester).
Colder Weather
As temperatures get colder, please make sure your student has a black or grey hoodless sweatshirt, sweater or fleece jacket.
All Access Winter Showcase - Dec. 21st, 5:30pm
On December 21st, the After-School Program hosted its 3rd annual Winter Showcase, featuring performances from the Improv Club, Dance Team, Band, and a number of talented solo performers. We also displayed work created by the Art Club and premiered Filmmaking Club's highly-anticipated "Lunch of the Living Dead." Thank you, friends and families, for showing so much support for these talented kids and making this our most-attended showcase ever!

On behalf of the entire All-Access After-School team, have a very happy holiday and a wonderful new year! We have a lot planned for 2017 and will be announcing new clubs and upcoming events in our next update.
