COURSE INFORMATION
In this course we will study American history from 1865 to the present following the most significant social, political and economic events to affect our society from both inside and outside our borders. We will explore American democracy in all its complexity with the goal of coming to a deeper understanding of our nation and ourselves.
GRADING SYSTEMS
Effort Grade (30%) + Achievement Grade (70%) = Overall Grade (100%)
Effort Categories: Homework, Classwork (including Do Nows, Exit Tickets, and In-class Projects)
Achievement Categories: Quizzes/Tests, Projects/Presentations, and Writing Assignments
