We are using a new curriculum called Illustrative Mathematics, which is a problem-based curriculum where students learn math concepts by working through challenging, real-world problems, and by having rich discussions about these problems. Students have lots of opportunities to see math done by their peers in different ways, and to explain their understanding in their own words.
