Faculty: These are suggested ideas that can be adapted depending on the class, learning outcomes, and audience.

Light Community Engagement Projects (Good for short projects)
Create a short informational video about the Community Partner's mission and work
Research an issue and provide a report to the Community Partner
Write an opinion piece about an issue of Partner's work
Interview a Community Partner and deliver a speech about the Partner's work
Research a local social issue, present their findings, and make a call to action via:
Blog post
5-10 minute speech
Short video
A social media campaign
Create an art project (poem, song, video, painting, multi-media) about an issue that directly impacts them

Invite a Community Partner to speak with the class about advocacy and write a reflection paper
Intense Community Engagement (Good for semester-long projects)
Create a documentary with a Community Partner about their mission
Research an issue impacting a Community Partner and provide a policy brief to the organization
Plan an awareness event for the campus or Treasure Valley Community

Create a public awareness campaign

Write an article for the Community Partner’s newsletter or blog
Write a letter to stakeholders about a community issue

Develop a social media campaign for a Community Partner or about a social issue to raise awareness and call people to action

Conduct a social action campaign to change policy

Research a community issue and make a public service announcement
