Option 1. Transfer your Data to a Personal Google Account
Please follow the steps below to copy content (data) from your school account to another personal Google Gmail/Drive account
1. Check Your Personal Google Storage Quota Before You Start the Transfer and You Must be 13 yeas old, or older.
Warning:
A. To transer your content from your Blake School account, it will require that your personal account has sufficient storage to complete the transfer successfully.
B. Your personal Google Account needs to for someone 13 years of age or older.
Free Google accounts have 15GB of storage.
How do I check my accounts for how much storage is being used?
Visit Google Drive. Your storage usage is listed on the left.
If after checking your Blake and personal gmail account, you notice there is not enough space, there are a couple of options to consider.
Pay for more storage for your personal Google account. See: https://drive.google.com/u/1/settings/storage?
Make an archive google account example: Awesome Student19 (astudent19@blakeschool.org could make a free Google account astudent19_blakearchive@gmail.com) This option will only give you 15GB to work with, please make sure your Blake account is under 15GB.
2. Transfer your content
Now that you have checked your storage and have made sure your destination account is all set, please follow these steps.
Go to https://myaccount.google.com
Go to Transfer your account, select the data you want to bring with you and select start transfer.
Enter the destination account and enter the code generated by Google and sent to your personal account
Once you have entered the code, you will be able to initiate the transfer
