Additionally, we believe that all students have the ability to create, develop and maintain healthy relationships, build character and cultivate effective decision-making skills. Our counseling program believes in collaboration with parents and our community in guiding students to develop skills to become independent adults who will succeed and contribute to society.
Philosophy of the School-Counseling Department
The Big Spring School District through a committed partnership of students, family, community, teachers, support staff and administrators will provide an environment where the educational process flourishes. The needs of all learners will be met by challenging curriculum and assisting students to reach their fullest potential and to become life-long learners. The district will ensure that the educational system recognize the community’s diverse values, interests and needs in preparing students to become productive, responsible citizens.
