Information on applying:

  • For 2019, Jennie-O Turkey Store will be offering more than $60,000 in

scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose parents are Jennie-O

Turkey Store employees* (or graduating high school seniors who are employed

at Jennie-O Turkey Store). Up to 50 $1,000 scholarships* and up to two

$6,000 scholarships are available. The detailed criteria for each

scholarship type are listed on the attached application. I have also

attached the recommendation form as a separate document to make it easier

to forward on to people being asked to complete the recommendations

(recommendation letters are also accepted in lieu of the recommendation

forms).

  • There are two options for students to complete an application: 1) Print a

hard copy of the attached application in double-sided print mode and fill

it out by hand; or 2) Open the attached PDF, complete it on the computer

using the "Fill & Sign" option in Adobe Reader, print it in double-sided

print mode, and add the necessary signatures on pages 5 & 7.

  • Printing Tips & Application Completion Notes:

1) The blank pages you will notice in the attached application are

intentional for the double-sided printing of the entire application.

2) It is not necessary to include the informational cover page when

submitting the completed application (but it's fine if it is included).

3) If the recommendation form is being forwarded separately (or if

recommendation letters are being used instead of the forms), it's not

necessary to print the last four pages (pages 9-12) of the application.

5) Ultimately, the pages in the application that students would be

completing themselves are pages 3-7. Please note, the Written Statement of

Goals and Aspirations on page 5 can be included as a separate attachment if

there isn't enough room in the space provided, but the applicant must still

include page 5 with the signature section on the bottom completed. The

Academic Information form on page 7 must be signed by either the student,

if 18 years old; or their parent if under 18, before the guidance office

can complete the rest of the form and attach it to the transcript.

  • Applications must be sent to the address on the application with a postmark

deadline on or before March 15, 2019. Late or incomplete applications will

be disqualified. Recipient selection will be coordinated by Jennie-O Turkey
