Monday, Oct. 13 - 5:00pm, Return from Philadelphia
Great job band at the football game Friday. Another very strong performance. We will watch it tomorrow at the start of band.
A week from today the band leaves for Philadelphia for a day of sightseeing and an overnight stay aboard the retired battleship USS New Jersey. Then we march in the 250th anniversary of the US Navy and Marine Corps parade. It will be televised on ABC, HULU, and Disney +. This is a huge deal. Not all schools were invited to perform. We need everyone to register if you haven't already. Thank you Mrs. Burkhart for putting this trip together and keeping the cost down. There was a question about if the government shut down affects anything for the trip. At this point, no. The USS New Jersey is a museum run by a private organization and the parade is also run by a non-government company.
This week's game is senior recognition. Band senior recognition will take place during halftime after our halftime performance.
