Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic break with lots of quality time with family and friends and plenty of time to relax before heading into the last few days of marking period 1.
This week is Keystone testing. Tuesday is Algebra, Wednesday is Literature, and Thursday is Biology. Only students taking those tests come in on those days. Monday and Friday are regular class days.
Next week is final exams. Thursday, Jan. 15 is blocks 1 and 2 and Friday, Jan. 16 is blocks 3 and 4.
Even though students may not be in on Keystone and final exam days, the alternating band/orchestra and concert choir/pate choir schedule continues as if they were regular days so please be mindful of the schedule. This week, with Keystones, only orchestra and Pate Choir will have classes, on Monday and Friday. Don't forget also, in the event we have a snow day, the schedule would then get pushed back. A separate email from administration would go out in the event Keystone or final exams get affected by a snow day. Check this website calendar for the schedule.
We will be going to see Moulin Rouge as our New York trip this year. The date is Wednesday, April 15. The cost will be between $128 and $150 person depending on how many go. The cost includes show ticket, chartered bus, and lunch. Seniors will have first dibs to reserve their seat. Your student account will need to be paid up to date in order to go. More details and a registration form will be forthcoming.
Jan. 19 is MILK Day and there is no school, however, Mr. Lynn will be doing a "Operation Save Mr. Lynn's Office" event that day and would
like your help. We will be filing music, cleaning out drawers, reorganizing the file system, discarding whatever is not deemed necessary to save. Anyone who helps will receive community service. The more people, the less time it takes. Please consider helping out.
Looking ahead:
Jan. 12,13,14 - last class days for MP2
Jan. 15 - Blocks 1 and 2 finals
Jan. 16 - Blocks 3 and 4 finals
JAn. 17 - County band at Nazareth HS
