Matthew Lyon Chapter of The National Honor Society
The Matthew Lyon Chapter of The National Honor Society was established at Fair Haven High School in 1958. Our chapter is named after Matthew Lyon, the founding father of Fair Haven, Vermont. Students attending FHUHS who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher after completing five semesters of high school will receive a candidate form. Students who choose to complete this form will go through a selection process in which they will be required to demonstrate more than just scholarship and high academic achievement to be selected for induction. They will also need to demonstrate the other qualities we seek in our members, which are character, leadership, and service both in our school and in the surrounding communities. A copy of the instructions for completing the candidate form can be found here.
