Advanced Placement United States History is a survey course covering American history from the Pre-Columbian period to the present. The course is designed to encourage students to use historical facts and evidence to create deeper conceptual understandings of critical developments in U.S. History.
The course is taught in accordance with the AP U.S. History framework and is devoted to developing the historical thinking skills as well as covering the thematic learning objectives that will be measured by the AP U.S. History Exam in May.
Advanced Placement United States History is an alternative course to United States History and is the equivalent of an introductory college survey course in U.S. History.
