KINDERGARTEN

A big Red Pine W E L C O M E from the library!

RP kindergarteners will learn how to take care of library books at school and at home, how to read wordless picture books by looking carefully at the pictures, to sign the words for yes, no, book, library, author, illustrator. They will practice being respectful listeners and direction followers, and will work to remember to bring their books back on their library day. Kindergartners will be introduced to the difference between fiction and nonfiction books and how to use shelf markers to pick any book from our library shelves.
