During library, RP second graders will continue on our path of a love of reading and lifelong learning, as well as becoming effective users of ideas and information. A few ways we will do this is through:
searching on the library catalog using keyword and title words
working on how to locate a book using call code
learning more parts of a book including the dedication page and verso page which include the copyright date and symbol
locating and using both the index and glossary in nonfiction texts
using nonfiction materials to answer essential questions
recognizing the Caldecott Book Medal and winning titles
2nd Grade (state and district supported) database enrichment ideas Help your student locate either database below or contact Mrs. Robertson for home login info.
