Laying Hens
Laying hens produce eggs that we collect. We have a National FFA living to serve grant to pay for them and the supplies. The eggs are donated to the Avondale Senior Center.
Silkie chickens
Silkie chickens are named because of their soft silk and satin like feel and chickens that are used for showcasing mainly and serve no other purposes than looks. Unlikes hens and normal chickens, silkie chicken do not lay eggs.
