About Me

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. When I graduated from High School I moved to Los Angeles where I attended Azusa Pacific University and graduated as the top International Business Student. After college I spent a few years in the business world while I earned my Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In 2000, we moved to Colorado. At that time I decided to pursue my dream of teaching. Soon after becoming a High School Business and Marketing teacher, I earned a second Masters in Education. From 2008-2010, I reached beyond the high school level and taught Business and Marketing for Colorado Christian University and Front Range Community College. Teaching has become a true passion in my life.

On the home front, I am married to a wonderful man, Casey who is also in the field of education. We have two young boys, Sean and Blake. They are truly the loves of my life! ...not to mention our puppies Luke and Bella and our cat Kash!

During my twenties, and before kids, I spent a lot of time traveling the world. I have traveled to over forty international countries in Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, Central America, Russia, Bahamas, Caribbean, and many more regions of the world. Also adventuring into living in Japan, the Netherlands, and Norway.

My academic philosophy includes commitment, continual education, and integrity. I feel that, as an educator, my commitment to Adams 12 School District, Legacy High School, the community, and the student, is my job. Know that I will do everything I need to in order to make sure that I am doing my best to serve you throughout this course and beyond. As a leader, I have high expectations for myself, including being a good example and living by ethical values. On that note, as an educator, it is vital that I invest my time in educating myself in the ever changing world of business. Such concepts can be implemented into course assignments and discussions. Continuous learning is important no matter what walk of life you are in. As I always tell my students, “Take your head out of the book and put it outside. Business is all around you!”
