This course is designed to help students understand and appreciate legal issues from individual rights and liberties to concerns facing business and society today. Topics will include: the purposes of government and basic constitutional principles, the role of citizens and how citizens can participate in civic life, business law, consumer law, business ethics, contracts, environmental issues. Optional participation in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is available for students. Students who participate in FBLA learn valuable leadership and social skills and can earn extra credit in the class.
